Thirteen fine children’s books were nominated for the Ferdinand the Magnificent Award for the Best Polish Book for Children 2016. The winner will be announced on 11 June. Budyń Julka Tuwima group will give a concert as an additional attraction. Tickets are already on sale.
Budyń Julka Tuwima plays Julian Tuwim’s poetry paraphrased by outstanding authors of children’s books: Wanda Chotomska, Agnieszka Frączek, Marcin Brykczyński and Marta Guśniowski, turned into rock songs. Jacek Szymkiewicz, the leader of POGODNO group composed lively and varied music for that project. The name of the group, Budyń (Pudding) best reflects its sound that was born out of various music friendship exchanges, creating a timeless project to please both children and parents.
