Reading brings generations together – Library Week 2014 at Jagiellonian Library

Under the Library Week 8th-15th May 2014, the Jagiellonian Library invites all those interested to a number of events connected with its collection, history and operation. It is a rare opportunity to see places which are usually not accessible to readers. We will visit special collections and the Jagiellonian Library’s storage facilities as well as famliarise ourselves with the work of cataloguers.

Additionally, thanks to cooperation with the Krakow Festival Office, on 16th May at 3.00 pm Leszek Sibila, Head of the Department of Printing, Bookbinding and Krakow Press at the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow will give a lecture  entitled Krakow – The Cradle of Rare Book – 19th/20th centuries. The development of Krakow printing in the context of industrial revolution. The lecture will be given in the Jagiellonian Library conference room.

For most events you need to register in advance. Free admission.
